Londoners Shame are a force to be reckoned with, if this here video of the band playing their track ‘Concrete’ live is anything to go by. Their philosophy on playing songs in a live setting definitely seems to fall into the ‘go hard or go home’ category.
‘Concrete’ is the bands first release as part of their record deal with Dead Oceans and follows their run of singles including ‘The Lick‘,’Gold Hole’, ‘Tasteless’ and the Theresa May-baiting ‘Visa Vulture‘ (previously described by frontman Charlie Steen as “the worst love song ever”).
The ‘Concrete’ live video was shot earlier in 2017 at an invite-only gig with some of the bands close friends, family and fan-ily at Off The Cuff. As you can see Steen’s snarlingly visceral delivery really takes on a life of it’s own live – his attitude is pure eat or be eaten.
The vid surfaces the day before Shame play their biggest ever headline show and homecoming soiree at London’s Scala on Wednesday 18th October (tickets here). Seeya there!
