Cardiff lot Estrons – it’s Welsh for “alien” or “stranger” – are not messing around on their biting new single ‘Glasgow Kisses’. The song is a response to the band’s previous single ‘Strobe Lights‘ and comes as part of a double A-side release alongside the song ‘Cold Wash‘ (released via their own Gofod Records imprint). We’re premiering the ‘Glasgow Kisses’ video – shot on original Kodak VISION3 200T Color Super 8mm film for that classic look dontcha know – for you right here.
Singer Taliesyn Kallstrom previously described the track as “a nursery rhyme about adult life” – here’s what she emailed us to say about the vid:
Much like the lyrical content, the ‘Glasgow Kisses’ video is a playful and miserable celebration of the joys of our adolescence and adult lives. The fairground is a backdrop to a life where the fun is seemingly over, and as a result the protagonist, me, is in a state of hungover nostalgia and chaos.
