Los Angeles songwriter/producer/artist Lawrence Rothman has shared the video for ‘Wolves Still Cry’, the first track to be lifted from Rothman’s debut full-length album The Book of Law (due out October 13th via Polydor Records).
Previously dubbed the “Cindy Sherman of music,” Rothman is know for having many “alters” and fully believes in them all as a part of himself. ‘Wolves Still Cry’ see’s Rothman further exploreing these “alters” (with some backing vocals by How To Dress Well), with Rothman’s long time collaborator Floria Sigismondi (she’s made visuals for Bowie and Björk) directing the vid.
The Book of Law is two years in the making and was produced by the one and only Justin Raisen (Sky Ferreira, Angel Olsen, Haim, Charli XCX) along with producer YVES and Rothman himself. It’s set to feature some guest spots from Marissa Nadler, Angel Olsen and Kristin Kontrol, Carla Azar (Autolux), Pino Palladino (D’Angelo, NIN, The Who), Stella from Warpaint, Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) and Dennis Hamm (Thundercat).
