Princess Nokia Signs to Rough Trade Records + Releases ‘G.O.A.T’

New Yorker Destiny Frasqueri’s has been independently building an empire out of her music, first as Wavy Spice and then under her Princess Nokia moniker. Off the back of her 2016 album 1992 (which is brilliant and still available to download free here) she’s now found a new home at Rough Trade Records and has released her first track through the label – ‘G.O.A.T.’.

The track features take no prisoner lines like “Aint no average bitch I been the man” and “It’s me who took the weirdo shit to another level and I’m killin’ it“, plus it comes with a video of Nokia chillin’ in the flyest ride ever.

Here’s some words from Princess Nokia about her current situation:

My Live Show is a lotta fun, I mean it’s a real vibe – something out of this world…. I have been playing sold out tours since I released the album on my website, I’ve gotta to say, I’m blessed. Every city has …. a crowd of young kids that love my music…. I have girls that cry and throw roses in the front. Straight men who come with their friends and scream every lyric from every song …I show up for them and rip that mic so they leave feeling inspired and happy, It’s a great time
