Roll up, roll up it’s cover FOUR of SIX in our Spring 2017 issue reveal. So far there’s been Blondie (amazing), Olly Alexander (amazing) and Charli XCX (you got it, amazing) and now it’s the turn of one of the most influential bands of the last ten years, i.e. The xx. Read on please.
Think about it, right, since their debut album came out in 2009, The xx‘s musical influence can be found in just about everything you hear on the radio, from the latest blog-friendly band to some of the biggest popstars going (Rihanna and Shakira have both sampled them, while Jamie worked with Alicia Keys and you know Beyoncé’s been in touch at some point). In their own quiet way, Romy, Oliver and Jamie have recalibrated the sound of pop music, a process brought to full fruition on their latest album, I See You.

We’re not going to beat around the bush and try and keep things mysterious, the other people in the issue are as follows (it’s six covers featuring people we love and respect, no agenda):
We’ll be putting the other covers up this week and then peppering your broadband with the interviews after that.
