Take a First Listen to ‘Ada’ from Singing Girl Gang Deep Throat Choir

All female singing gang Deep Throat Choir – as their Twitter states “We are wimmin and we sing” – were formed back in 2013 by Luisa Gerstein (of Landshapes and Lulu and the Lampshades fame). Initially starting with a handful of members, the DTC ranks have swelled to it’s current incarnation that in terms of their band member count would definitely give the Polyphonic Spree a run for their money.

The project was born from Gerstein’s love of raw female voices, wanting to capture how a song’s sentiment is transformed when sung as a collective instead of one voice, that and it just feels pretty damn awesome to make that much noise with other people. Recent collabs have seen them play at Horse Meat Disco and certain members of the collective breaking out to collaborate with the likes of Simian Mobile Disco.

Their debut album Be Ok is set for released 17th Feb and we’re dropping the first play of ‘Ada’ the very first track from the album. Press play and sing-a-long.
